  • Mr Ioannis Ntanos

    Mr Ioannis Ntanos, Consultant Surgeon, was working in the NHS but had a desire to start his own Private Practice.  He had not run a business before and was very unsure about how and where to start. He didn’t have any experience of raising invoices or collecting payments, nor what he needed to do with regards to record keeping to stay on the right side of HMRC.  Ioannis engaged with us after receiving a recommendation of our services.   • Mr Vik Veer

    Mr Vik Veer is an ENT Consultant Surgeon who practices on the NHS at the Royal National Throat Nose & Ear Hospital (Kings Cross London). Vik joined us in March 2022 as he was wanting to grow his Practice but was really struggling to manage the financial side of the business. He was also very concerned as to his growing tax liabilities and wanted to ensure that he set aside sufficient funds to cover these charges. Vik considered the services available and decided that the Business Management Support Service was best suited for him.

    He wanted to have real visibility with the performance of the business and felt that the monthly Management Reports and regular business review meetings would allow him to pinpoint how the business could best develop.

    We were able to provide reporting that captured sufficient data from the different elements of his services to enable Vik to implement changes to his Practice leading to a year on year 35% increase in revenue.

    He also liked the idea of having a separate Client account to make regular provisions for his tax liabilities, guided by the advice in our reporting.  He also found it really helpful that we took the strain of managing his suppliers, ensuring they were paid promptly.

    I have never been trained in finance or tax, I have spent my life only practising medicine and forsaking everything else. Once I started my private practice, I entered a world which I did not understand and it became very difficult for me to catch up. I have been through a number of accountants and financial planners to help me understand what on earth is going on with my tax, pensions, financial planning etc. It was only once I had recommendation to seek out JW Medical Management that I realised that I have finally found someone who was able to speak to me in terms I could understand.

    What is more, they really seem to care about my private practice. They answered my emails, and even write to me with new ideas and propositions that might help me going forward. For example, recently they contacted me about Making Tax Digital changes that are coming through. Apparently in the next few years this is going to become a requirement and I was a little apprehensive about what I needed to do. Amazingly they had already sorted out and I am reporting in real-time just like our friendly HMRC colleagues would like us to.

    I still do not know enough about finances or tax, but I feel much safer in their hands. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

  • Dr Greg Cadman

    Dr Greg Cadman is an Implant Dentist that runs two Dental clinics in Yorkshire. During his tenure at his first Private Clinic he saw opportunities to expand his Practice and was also looking at other practices in the Yorkshire region. However, he realised he was limited by the sheer volume of financial administration he was trying to juggle.     Wayne and his team have been helping me with my dental clinics for several years now. I originally engaged JW Medical to manage the whole accounting / finance function of my private dental clinic. I was just far too busy to look after this side of the business myself as I was concentrating on the medical part. My clinic staff were great at their job, but they weren’t really qualified to carry out this specialist function.     They don’t just stop at accounting; they do lots of additional tasks to help me run my clinics efficiently. Their help and assistance has been invaluable whenever I have needed financial reporting for business financing etc, in particular their hard work helped us through the covid crisis with reports and forecasting being required for business interruption insurance claims and covid granting funding.   • The Berkshire Clinic

    The Berkshire Clinic, a bespoke leading independent medical clinic in Winnersh, Berkshire.

    Mr Neil Ruparelia and his colleagues received a recommendation for our services in 2021 whilst discussing a new project they were working on for a specialised private clinic in Berkshire. We subsequently worked with the team to provide a bespoke accounting package to help service the clinic set up, renovation and subsequent operation. Neil and the team realised that starting out with such a huge project they needed as much assistance as possible and opted for the Business Management Support Service, as an opportunity to provide much needed support in the set up and running of the clinic.

    The Berkshire Clinic is a new private medical clinic that opened in May 2022. The clinic has been designed to create a bespoke environment to provide an optimal patient experience and has been meticulously fitted out to the highest standard. The clinic provides consultancy and diagnostics for general and medical specialties. The consultants working at the clinic are all highly experienced experts in their respective fields with local practices, providing state-of-the-art care.

    We engaged the services of JW Medical Management who greatly assisted us in developing the financial framework of our business model. They created a bespoke digital bookkeeping/accounting package for us to enable us to have the confidence to invest in the development and growth of the clinic.     Working together, they now produce regular monthly reporting to assist us with the financial side of the business. We are very happy with the service particularly around responsiveness to any queries we have and also the monthly ‘real-time’ summaries that are provided.

    We are very happy indeed that they have prepared us ready for the HMRC digital changeover. Opening and developing the clinic has proven to be an exceptionally busy time and it is very reassuring that our accounting records are compliant and always up to date, as well being recorded digitally, it is absolutely one less thing to worry about.
